The Creative Concept

From canvas to screen.

I drew inspiration from the rich colors and graphic treatments of vintage Western movie posters, highlighting the visual language of classics like Stagecoach. The art direction played with the striking similarities between the original paintings and the cinematic scenes that seemed to recreate them.
The result was a visual approach rooted in the past, designed to bring the connection between Western art and cinema into focus.

Overview

The Cinematic West: The Art That Made the Movies explored the relationship between Western American art and classic Hollywood cinema. My goal was to translate that connection into a visual campaign that celebrated the paintings behind the movies and the cinematic worlds they helped inspire.
